Madurai Police Uses Drones To Create Awareness Of The Night Curfew Rules

April 21, 2021: In Madurai, ahead of the night curfew that started on Tuesday, the city police have started several awareness programs among the residents so that they diligently follow the night curfew rules to avoid the pandemic. Apart from distributing masks, the city police also leveraged drone technology with public address facilities to inform the masses about the COVID-19 appropriate behavior- wear masks, maintain social distancing, avoid crowded places, and use sanitizers.

According to a report from The Hindu, A. Surakumaran, the Assistant Commissioner of Police, assured the people that all the safety measures are taken to help them and that the drone will be used to check any stealthy crowding in the bylanes and narrow lanes during the curfew.
