Skyglimps Technologies is an emerging drone services and solutions provider based in Kolkata, India. As part of our growth strategy, we are launching a DGCA-certified Remote Pilot Training Organization (RPTO) to provide industry-standard training to future UAV professionals. We are currently seeking two highly experienced UAV Training Instructors to join our core team during the RPTO setup phase and beyond.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the end-to-end setup of a new DGCA-certified RPTO, including facility readiness, documentation, equipment procurement, curriculum planning, and SOP development.

  • Deliver theoretical and practical drone training in compliance with DGCA standards, specifically focusing on Small and Medium category drones under the VLOS (Visual Line of Sight) category.

  • Prepare and update training materials, flight manuals, safety procedures, and evaluation criteria.

  • Conduct pre-flight briefings, simulator training, and hands-on flight instruction.

  • Ensure student compliance with DGCA regulations, safety protocols, and performance benchmarks.

  • Perform equipment checks, maintenance supervision, and ensure readiness of drones and training infrastructure.

  • Participate in audits, inspections, and liaison with DGCA representatives during certification and operational phases.

  • Mentor junior instructors or trainees as the organization scales.

  • Maintain detailed records of student progress, assessments, and flight logs.

Requirements:
  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a UAV pilot/trainer.

  • Proven expertise in operating Small and Medium category drones under VLOS conditions.

  • Deep understanding of DGCA RPTO requirements, drone regulations, and operational standards.

  • Prior experience in setting up or working with a DGCA-certified RPTO is highly preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of aviation safety protocols, airspace classifications, and meteorological conditions affecting drone operations.

  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently in a startup-like, hands-on environment.

  • Excellent communication skills in English and Hindi/Bengali.

  • Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in varying conditions.

Additional Information:
  • This is an in-person, full-time role based in Kolkata, West BengalRemote work is not permitted.

  • Initial engagement will focus on the RPTO setup phase, expected to last 2–4 months, followed by regular training operations.
