Job Description

Duties
- Conducting flight tests, collecting data, and analysing the results to identify any issues or problems with the UAV
- Flying various systems including but not limited to fixed wings, large multirotors and VTOLs.
- Tuning the autopilot/flight controller for the UAVs
- Soldering all kinds of boards and wires
- Assist on-field flight controller setup and tuning
- Assist systems integration teams in assembly and ground testing
- Logging and reporting of test flights results and co-ordination with R&D teams for upgrades/modifications
- Manage and monitor flights on ground control station
- Analyse weather forecasts, plan routes and missions as per test/user requirements and to ensure safe flights
- Perform site-survey and risk-mitigation surveys of flight operations area
- Assembly/disassembly and Maintenance/repair of UAVs
- Maintain pre- and post-flight, inspection activity logs and incident reports
- On-field troubleshooting of UAV and subsystems
- Manage and document flight testing/operations in the form of log-sheets and video recordings
- Assist teams with logistics for flight testing, demos, etc
- Integrate test requirements coverage, test approaches, and cost/time estimation across the company
