Preferred Experience

Experience in aerostructures and composite engineering

Proven expertise in:

  • Aircraft structures
  • Composite manufacturing
  • Certification processes

    Drive certification readiness and compliance with DGCA CS-UAS and aerospace standards

    Lead architecture, material decisions, and supplier qualification

    Knowledge of NDT methods and validation strategies

    Strong background in fatigue, damage tolerance, and structural validation

    Experience in supplier management and DFMA practices

    Regulatory Awareness: Familiarity with AS9100D and aerospace quality management systems

    Documentation: Ability to generate compliance reports, certification dossiers, and audit-ready documentation

    Innovation: Exposure to emerging composite technologies (nano-composites, hybrid laminates)

    Collaboration: Experience working with certification agencies and external suppliers

  • CAD: CATIA
  • Composites: Fibersim
  • FEA: ANSYS ACP
  • PLM: Teamcenter
Qualifications
Bachelor’s in Mechanical / Aerospace / Electrical Engineering
Key Responsibility Areas
  • Architecture & Material Strategy
    • Define aerostructure architecture for aircraft systems
    • Lead composite material selection (Carbon fiber, Kevlar, Glass fiber)
    • Establish weight budgets and optimization strategies
  • Manufacturing & Tooling Strategy
    • Define manufacturing approaches (Out-of-Autoclave (OOA), Prepreg, RTM / VARTM)
    • Lead tooling and mold strategy development
  • Structural Integrity & Certification
    • Own structural sign-off and compliance with DGCA CS-UAS requirements
    • Define fatigue and damage tolerance strategy
    • Lead airframe life extension initiatives
  • Quality & Validation
    • Oversee Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) strategies
    • Ensure structural quality and reliability
    • Define test plans and validation methodologies
  • DFMA & Supplier Management
    • Approve DFMA (Design for Manufacturing & Assembly)
    • Lead supplier qualification and development
    • Drive manufacturability and cost optimization
  • Leadership & Integration
    • Lead cross-functional teams (design, aero, manufacturing)
    • Own design reviews and structural decisions
    • Mentor junior engineers and build technical capability
