Job Description

Responsibilities

Conduct routine inspections, testing, and maintenance of drones to ensure optimal performance and safety.
Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues with drones and their components, including motors, sensors, GPS systems, and communication modules.
Perform repairs and replacements of damaged or malfunctioning drone parts in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
Calibrate and fine-tune drone systems to maintain precision and accuracy during flight operations.
Collaborate with drone operators and other team members to understand and address specific operational requirements.
Maintain comprehensive records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections for documentation and regulatory compliance.
Keep abreast of the latest developments and trends in drone technology, regulations, and best practices.
Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to reduce the risk of unexpected equipment failures.
Monitor battery life and charging cycles, ensuring drones are powered up and ready for operation.
Follow established safety protocols and guidelines while handling and maintaining drones.

Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in electronics, robotics, aviation, or a related field is preferred.
Proven experience as a Drone Maintenance Technician or similar role, with a track record of maintaining and repairing various electronic components.
Solid understanding of drone technology, including motors, batteries, flight controllers, GPS systems, and communication modules.
Familiarity with different drone manufacturers and their respective maintenance procedures.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams related to drone maintenance and repair.
Proficiency in using tools and equipment for drone maintenance, calibration, and testing.
Strong problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations related to drone operation and maintenance.
Good communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with drone operators and other team members.
Physical capability to lift and carry heavy drone equipment and perform tasks in outdoor environments.

Preferred Qualifications (if any, not mandatory)

Prior experience with drone flying, calibrations, and firmware updates.
Knowledge of computer programming or coding languages for drone customization and modification.
Experience in maintaining other types of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) or remotely operated systems.
