Role Overview
We’re looking for a Business Development Associate on behalf of a global MNC to lead the expansion of their Drone Spraying Services in the agricultural sector.
This is a high-impact role on a 12-month fixed contract, where you’ll engage directly with farmers, drive business growth, and coordinate cutting-edge drone operations to deliver revenue and operational excellence. Be part of the future of smart, technology-driven farming!
Business Development & Farmer Outreach
- Execute business development strategies to drive adoption of drone spraying services.
- Identify and onboard potential clients in collaboration with retailers, channel partners, and the BASF sales team.
- Target 10 villages, engaging at least 15 farmers per village with a minimum landholding of 10 acres each (≈150 farmers in total).
Drone Deployment & Operations
- Plan daily routes for drone deployment, field mapping, and coordination with pilots and farmers.
- Submit a weekly spray plan to the pilot every Saturday for the upcoming week.
- Communicate any additions or changes proactively to the pilot.
- Ensure efficient route planning with minimum travel distance and maximum drone utilization.
Collaboration & Promotion
- Work closely with sales teams, channel partners, and retailers to build strong farmer relationships.
- Support sales team in promoting drone spraying services and coordinating related activities.
Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare and submit daily activity reports covering business development progress and operational updates.
Requirements / Qualifications
- Minimum education: HSC (12th Pass); preference for candidates with B.Sc. Agriculture.
- Freshers may apply; prior experience in business development, sales, or agriculture-related roles is an advantage.
- Candidate should hold a valid driving license.
- Strong communication skills; fluency in local language(s) required.
- Interest or familiarity with drone technology in agriculture preferred.
Language Requirement
Fluency in the local/state language is required.
Compensation & Benefits
- Fixed CTC: ₹27,000 per month.
- Incentives: ₹10 per acre sprayed.
Example: ₹10 × 20 acres × 25 days = ₹5,000 per month.
Incentives will be paid yearly or periodically on a pro-rata basis.
