Job Description

Skyglimps Technologies is seeking a skilled and certified Drone Pilot with hands-on experience in mapping missions (LiDAR & RGB) and powerline inspections. You will work with advanced drone platforms including the DJI M350, M3T, and other industry-grade UAVs to execute missions across diverse terrains and conditions. The role will be primarily based in Kolkata, but includes frequent travel to project sites across India.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute LiDAR and RGB mapping missions with high precision

  • Conduct powerline inspections, capturing both visual and thermal data

  • Operate and maintain drones such as DJI M350, M3T, and similar platforms

  • Ensure mission planning, flight path optimization, and risk assessments are done for every project

  • Coordinate with project managers and data teams for smooth workflow

  • Comply with all DGCA regulations and maintain accurate flight logs

  • Troubleshoot technical issues on the field as needed

  • Support data capture quality control and assist in post-processing when required

Requirements:
  • 2–4 years of relevant drone flying experience

  • Valid DGCA Drone Pilot License for Small and Micro categories

  • Proficiency in LiDARRGB, and thermal imaging missions

  • Hands-on experience with DJI M350, M3T, and other enterprise-grade drones

  • Familiarity with flight planning software (DJI Pilot, UGCS, etc.)

  • Willingness to travel extensively across India for project deployments

  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in dynamic environments

  • Knowledge of inspection protocols, especially for powerlines and solar panels is a plus

Preferred:
  • Experience in working on infrastructure, utilities, or terrain mapping projects

  • Basic understanding of GIS or post-processing tools

  • Team-oriented with a proactive attitude
