As a Senior Engineering Manager, you will manage and Engineer products and execute them to deliver value to the business.
- Work with the CTO to Execute the products at Redwing.
- Collaborate with a cross-functional team of engineers & flight operators and engineer products and execute processes in a timely fashion
- Leverage product insight, robotics and/or computer vision, and high-quality software engineering to bring state-of-the-art autonomy technology to market.
- Hire and mentor elite engineers to scale up our team
- Leverage your experience and best practices to uphold and improve Redwings engineering standards and engineering efforts to meet aggressive timelines with optimal solutions.
- Instill best practices for product development and documentation, assure designs meet requirements, and deliver high-quality work on tight schedules.
- Establish best practices for automating the creation of scalable/resilient systems.
- Participate in problem-solving discussions to ensure systems are designed for the right problems.
- Collaborate with colleagues to support and improve systems, processes, standards, and tools.
- Champion an atmosphere of continuous improvement with a metrics-driven culture.
- Drive constant improvement in quality, quantity, and value of engineering output.
- Proactively seek technical solutions to improve delivery speed and quality.
Requirements - what you’ll bring
- Hands-on technical leader with strong software engineering experience
- Deep understanding of topics in robotics, computer vision, and software systems
- Proven leadership, management, recruiting, team building, and communication skills
- Solid fundamentals in 3D geometry, mathematics, and linear algebra
- Experience with hardware
- You love building flying robots and making them do amazing things in the world
- BTech/BE & MBA is preferred or equivalent with 5+ years of industry experience, of which 2+ years is in Engineering Management.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in hardware, software, and embedded development leading teams of engineers in support of complex business functions.
- Prior Experience in managing an Engineering team is a must.
